Belgrado (servie) & Ljublijana (Slovenie)

Vandaag weer een in het Nederlands.

Gister Belgrado. Superdik! Snoeihard en lange improvjams. De vibe was er. Servie is zo anders, en sloveense toetsenborden ook… hihi
We speelden in the gunclub, nabij het bekende parlementsgebouw wat deels in de hens werd gestoken. 10 jaar terug tijdens de servische wispelturigheud. Waar ik al 10 verschillende versies van gehoord heb.
Vreemde naam, gunclub… totdat we binnenkwamen. Overdag wordt de zaal gebruikt als schiethal. Gelukkig waren de geweren en kogels opgeborgen. Maar de vloer was bezaaid met kogelhulzen. Aan de achterwand van het podium hingen de schietschijven, pretty weird.

Vanacht speelden we in Lublijana, vage commune-achtige plek. Obscuur dorp van kroegen en concertzalen. Beschilderde kleine huisjes en bussen waar de lokalen wonen. Undergrounder kan je het volgens mij niet krijgen. Soort Ljublijaans Ruigoord (landjuweel). Houten huisjes op staken in de grond, met zelfgekleide aliensculpturen aan de gevel. Helaas was het te donker voor fotos. Miss morgen als we de spullen gaan ophalen. Nu in een superluxe hotel met whirlpool, 2 pers.bed, televisie (die uit blijft) en een franse kontenwasser, waar ik straks mn tanden in poets.

Ga roken en slapen. Is nodig, slapen begint verdacht zeldzaam te worden… of wordt het een boekje lezen met peuk boek en bier in de whirlpool? dillema’s non stop…

Zagreb Croatia

Yesterday we played in Graz, Austria. We arrived the day before so we were able to do a little sightseeing. Graz is beautiful, I really love that city. Even in the short time we’ve been there. The houses, bridges, churches, river, squares are so nice. Also quite on the streets, in the positive way.

The venue was completely packed and full crowded. We already knew that TWEAK BIRD was popular in that region, they’re in the top 25 of the national radiostations overthere. Everybody knew the songs and sang along. They freaked out! So awesome.

Of course it was running late again, and slept for a few hours past night. My body starts complaining about this kinda lifestyle 😛 Catched a cold, and feel a little sick. But that will be fine. Alcohol kills the bacteria…

Today’s trip was to Zagreb, Croatia via Slovenia where we picked up Irena, a local promoter. She joins us the upcoming gigs as a translator and a perfect help for the borderchecks around here. Leaving the EU and entering countries as Serbia and Croatia is different, dudes. The cops here are no pussies, I’m scared of those lads… Today was a smooth check. We weren’t pulled over. But I saw a family which was less lucky. All their clothes and things of value all over the floor. Hope we’ll be this lucky all the time. If Irena wouldn’t be with us we were still at the border, learning the local language by police officers…

Tonight we play with the band of the guy who creates the artworks for Neuroses. A Storm of Light they’re called. Soundcheck sounded pretty cool, heavy!

Hello duderino’s

It’s a long time ago since I posted a Blog. Since the last post we’ve been to Hamburg, Leipzig, Berlin, Munich. Tonight we play in Graz, Austria. I think I love this country, it’s so incredible beautiful.
We’ve so much fun. But sometimes we forget to sleep. And the fucking couch was *peep* tonight. But we met some nice people. I don’t know why, but the hotels and apartments where we sleep are always in a pub. So, think that says enough.

We gotta go, the parkingmeter runs out. see ou soon!

TWEAK BIRD + Black Mountain @ Ancienne Belgique was so cool! Over 1000 people

Good day to You!

So Amazing! Yesterdaynight after the show Black Mountain requested me to join them on stage the next show. That will be Paradiso, Amsterdam. So fucking glad about that. And grateful as a horny donkey. well… And in the morning we gonna make some wafels… The Black Mountain guys probably liked my playing with the Tweak Bro’s that much I can be in their set. Wow! They just made my day, week, month… 😛

Playing in the Ancienne Belgique is so awsome!! What a house! Sound is fantastic, massive. On stage and in the concerthall. Deep and stuff… Sold our asses of on merch. All the vinyl and the cd’s are sold out. There’s a quick delivery on the way from Berlin to Amsterdam, so tonight we have all the merch again in Paradiso.

A lot of friends (Capital, FB) and family are coming to the show, so I’ll have a great time again. Last show with Black Mountain. That’s a bummer, but I’ll play with them, which is not a bummer at all 🙂

After yesterday show we went to Middelburg again, to have a nice sleep in Ko D’oooooooor/Revolution Gallery. Great to be home again, though it’s for a very short while. Good coffee, breakfast and lovely people around us.

We’ll be leaving short after this post. Get the merch and go to Amsterdam. The fancrew is already there. Smoking pot in the Bulldog I guess.

TWEAK BIRD + Black Mountain Paris show was sold out!

From now on I’ll be writing my blogs in English ‘cause there are quite some foreigners following this blog.

On the 4th of October we played at the Maroquinerie in Paris. Which is a fantastic vennue. Sound was much better than in Lausanne, and the place was complete sold out. Sold shitloads of merch, so we just ordered more stuff for the Paradiso show.

Show was cool, just played 2 songs with them instead of 4 because the timetable was pushed back and we had to play a short set. Was quite cool.

We slept in a hotel just 5 minutes walking from the vennue, so we had a nice quite long afterparty. The day after we had roomservice avec des croissants et marmalade de fraise. Et le café etait très bien. After breakfast we left Paris and went on to Brussels. Not a long drive, like we had the day before.

Lausanne, Zwitserland with Black Mountain

De Birds kwamen vrijdag rond 3u aan in Middelburg. Na een korte repetitie en soundcheck openden we met Capital Sentimental de avond. Show was dik, en de TWEAK BIRD set liep ook lekker. De zaal was goed gevuld. Speelde 2 nummers mee op sax. Vanavond zijn dat er 4.

Gisteren, za 2 okt, hebben we veel gerepeteerd. ’s Avonds laatste avondmaal met Capital + familoe en erbij @ Ko D’oooooooor.

De wekker ging vroeg vandaag, maar gelukkig verliep de reis goed. Lange rit van 9 uur, but we survived. Gelukkig viel de bordercheck mee…

Benieuwd naar de Black Mountain set, en het hotel waar we crashen vanavond! Morgen Parijs. Wederom met Black Mountain, in totaal spelen we 4 keer met ze samen, leuke lui!

Zwitserland is prachtig. Tot snel weer en laat gerust reacties achter!

Tomorrow TWEAK BIRD arrives @ the Netherlands

Morgen, 1 oktober,  komt het Amerikaanse duo TWEAK BIRD, waar ik mee op tournee zal gaan, aan op Schiphol. Nadat ze het touringbusje en de backline opgehaald hebben zullen ze doorrijden naar Middelburg, my hometown.

’s Avonds staat het concert gepland in de Spot. (1 okt 21.00, Beddewijkstraat 15 Middelburg) Capital Sentimental zal wederom het voorprogramme verzorgen.
Overdag nemen we de set nog een aantal keer door, aangezien we niet geoefend hebben. Ook zaterdag staat repeteren op het programma. Zondag vertrekken we naar het 2e optreden van de tour. Zwitserland, Lausanne, in het voorprogramma van Black Mountain. Daarna Parijs, Brussel, Amsterdam (paradiso 6 okt. Ook met Black Mountain).

Ik test bij deze mijn blog. Voeg een filmpje toe ter controle of dat werkt.

Zou leuk zijn als jullie me volgen tijdens de Europese tournee, +/- 11 landen, 28 gigs in 30 dagen!
